ECO-POWR™ ELECTRICITY BASICS

When initially turned on, similar to standard appliances, ECO-POWR™ products draw a small amount of electricity. As a workout begins, the units almost instantaneously stop consuming electricity and, within seconds, enough energy is being produced to power the unit and to send excess electricity back into the facility’s grid through a standard outlet. That energy is then used to power other machines and devices within the facility, offsetting the power needed from the utility company.

SportsArt’s Vatio Indoor Cycle serves an exciting dual function: workout equipment that delivers an intense workout and a human power plant. Throughout a normal workout, the energy produced by burning calories is captured and converted into utility-grade electricity. Up to 74% of the energy generated during a workout is instantly fed to your facility’s power grid to power electricity-consuming devices, lowering the number of watts needed from the utility company and reducing the club's carbon footprint.
